Provided are a rubber composition for a tire which is improved in antiaging property, and a tire containing the composition. The rubber composition comprises 0.5-3.5 parts by weight of 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline containing 55-70 % of a dimer component as an antiaging agent based on 100 parts by weight of a source rubber.
