A display apparatus and an electronic apparatus are provided to enhance visibility by enabling a user to see the display apparatus at both light-emitting surfaces of the electro-luminescent element. A display apparatus includes an electro-luminescent element having a light-emitting layer which is interposed between transparent electrodes(21,23). The transparent electrodes(21,23) are interposed between a pair of opposite transparent substrates(3,4). A pair of polarizers(6,7) are disposed at the outside of the corresponding electro-luminescent element. Polarizing axes of the polarizers(6,7) is intersected to each other. The polarizing axes of the polarizers(6,7) are substantially orthogonal.
