A cylinder head of a reciprocating type air compressor for reducing a noise is provided to reduce a noise by realizing smooth flow of air in a suction path and an exhaust path and by improving structures of valves. A head housing(30) is mounted at an upper part of a cylinder of a reciprocating air compressor, having a suction path(32) and an exhaust path(33) for sucking in and exhausting air through the upper part of the cylinder and having expansion spaces(34) at the suction path and the exhaust path for expanding a flow path of air for smooth flow of air. A valve housing(40) has an inlet connected with the expansion space of the suction path and an outlet connected with the expansion space of the exhaust path. A suction valve(50) is installed at an inlet of the valve housing, having a suction plate having a plurality of through holes for inflow of air into the cylinder, a plurality of suction valve bodies interrupting flow of air, a support element elastically supporting to adhere outer peripheral parts of the suction valve bodies closely to the suction plate, a first washer arranged to separate the center of the support element from the center of the suction plate, and a screw combined with the suction plate after passing through the suction valve bodies and the first washer. An exhaust valve(60) is installed at the outlet of the valve housing, having an exhaust plate having a plurality of through holes for discharging air of the cylinder to the outside, a second washer arranged at the upper part of the exhaust plate, a pair of exhaust valves opening and shutting the through holes of the exhaust plate, a support element elastically supporting to adhere outer peripheral parts of the exhaust valves closely to the suction plate, and a screw combined with the exhaust plate after passing through the exhaust valve bodies and the second washer.
