Provided are a method for preparing a hydrophilized polypropylene hollow fiber membrane and its polypropylene hollow fiber membrane which has a high water permeability and is useful as a separator. The method comprises the steps of melt spinning polypropylene through a hollow nozzle; winding it to prepare an undrawn hollow fiber membrane; dipping the drawn hollow fiber membrane into a hydrophilic monomer solution to cure it; and cold drawing and hot drawing the undrawn fiber to prepare a polypropylene hollow fiber membrane. Preferably the hydrophilic monomer is any one selected from vinyl compounds such as vinyl alcohol, (meth)acrylic acid or its salt, hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate, polyethylene glycol (meth)acrylate, vinyl pyrrolidone, acrylamide, etc. Preferably the curing time is at least 30 sec.
