A hair dryer is provided to maintain the temperature set by users to minimize the damage on hair and the volume and the weight of the dryer to be portable. The hair dryer includes: a housing(102) having a ventilating portion(106) in which a ventilator(108) is installed, a fan motor(112) on the opposite side of the ventilator(108) of the housing(102) to blow air through the ventilator(108) controlled by an electric power controller according to the operation of an electric power switch(114), and a heating apparatus(104) in which a heating panel(120) made of thin ceramic material having a couple of supports(118) and heating wires is installed to form a ventilation path in the ventilating portion(106) and a sensor to sense the temperature of air heated by the electric power controller and the ventilating portion(106) electrically relayed with the heating panel(120) as closed circuits.
