To provide a system for handling excretion of livestock, which is able to purify livestock wastewater and conveniently preventing environmental contamination by preventing highly-concentrated contamination of livestock wastewater, and a method therefor. The system comprises a stable bottom (23) which provides a space for raising livestock and includes a through hole (29) for discharging excretion of the livestock, a water storage tank (25) which is located at the lower side of the stable bottom and includes an inclined bottom side to keep livestock wastewater generated from the excretion at a predetermined level and smoothly discharge the wastewater, a washing-water switch valve (27) which is located on one side of the water storage tank to switch on and off washing water supplied from the outside to the water storage tank, and a siphon (35) which discharges the wastewater in the water storage tank through the washing water supplied by switching-on the washing-water switch valve, completes the discharge of the wastewater by switching-off the washing-water switch valve and then keeps the washing water in the water storage tank at a predetermined level.
