Provided is a method for preparing organic chelate. The organic chelate has a low possibility to be dissolved by gastric acid when the organic chelate is ingested by an unit animal or human. As a result, adsorption rate of chelate mineral ingested is increased and the amount of minerals excreted is reduced, which results in reduction of the soil contamination by excretion. The method for preparing organic chelate represented by formula (1) comprises the steps of: (1) dissolving mineral-containing salts to be bound with an amino acid through a coordinate covalent bond in water, and extracting metal hydroxide with NaOH or KOH; (2) removing water-soluble contents including K2SO4, Na2SO4 or KCl, NaCl salts from the solution with a filter press; (3) dissolving metal hydroxide of filtered M(OH)2 in which M is metal ion with hydrochloric acid; (4) completely dissolving an amino acid in the solution; (5) titrating the solution with NaOH up to pI value of the amino acid; and (6) filtering and drying the particles formed, wherein M is metal ion such as copper, iron, zinc, manganese and cobalt; R is a side chain of the amino acid; and the amino acid is methionine.
