The process comprises: measurement of a first electrical voltage signal U 1 between a first cathode measurement point on a cathode connecting conductor and a first anode measurement point on an anode connecting conductor; measurement of at least one second electrical voltage signal U 2 between a second cathode measurement point on a cathode connecting conductor and a second anode measurement point on an anode connecting conductor, at least one of these second measurement points being distinct from the first measurement points; determination of the value of at least one signal comparison function F over a determined time period T; determination of the value of at least one risk indicator A identifying the risk of occurrence of an anode effect, starting from the comparison function.
