FIELD: continuous casting of metal such as steel. ^ SUBSTANCE: equipment for continuous casting of rectangular cross-section metallic products includes submersible casting nozzle 6 having outlet openings for discharging melt metal. Said openings are arranged in main casting plane P and divided in direction to their outlets at least by two categories 7,8. Equipment also includes inductor aggregate 14,15 arranged on large sides 22 of mold for creating in it magnetic poles of opposite signs. Said magnetic poles are placed in front of casting plane P at two sides relative to it for creating in inter-pole gap embraced by means of casting nozzle crossing magnetic field overlapping outlet openings at least of one category 7. Equipment is provided with device for controlling magnetic field intensity in order to change distribution of total consumption of melt metal between all outlet openings. ^ EFFECT: quick and accurate controlled distribution of melt metal consumption between upper and lower parts of mold. ^ 12 cl, 5 dwg
