FIELD: sealing facilities. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for sealing movable and permanent joints of hydraulic and pneumatic devices. Proposed sealing ring made of elastic material has section two opposite sides of which are arranged parallel to axis of ring, and two others, square to axis. Two diagonally opposite angles of section are equal to 90o, and two others are rounded off, radius of rounding off is r=0.1-0.5 of size of ring section side. In proposed mould for manufacture of sealing ring of elastic material containing punch and die, shaping surfaces of die and punch form closed circuit in form of ring space with section similar to ring and formed by surfaces of punch and end face die. ^ EFFECT: improved reliability of seal. ^ 3 cl, 3 dwg
