The device has a spreader that is fixed at the back of a road engine for spreading loose chippings. Traps (8) of equal width are juxtaposed in a transversal direction and associated with a jack. The jack individually controls the traps to open or close the traps, so as to regulate the spreader width. A binder temporary rail has nozzles (7a) that produce flows covering pitch of an impact area of a road surface.
