A METHOD FOR PROVIDING LOCATION INFORMATION OF A GAME CHARACTER BY OPERATING WITH MESSENGER SERVER AND A SYSTEM THEREOF

An on-line game method and an on-line game system for supplying position information of a game character are provided to reduce loads of a server and a communication network which provides an on-line game service by supplying the position information in peer to peer way. A user terminal(210) receives game data and game patch from a game server through the communication networks in order to progress the on-line game. A map database(240) stores static data for the game service. A game server(220) and a messenger sever(230) access the map database and gain the static data for executing the on-line game and providing the position information of the characters. The game server provides the on-line game to at least one user terminal through the communication network. The messenger server performs the communication among messenger clients of the user.
