PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk playback apparatus which has simple configuration and can stably clamp a large-diameter disk with high reliability of clamping. SOLUTION: The disk playback apparatus 10 is provided with a turntable 37 having an antislip part 39 provided on an upper surface thereof and chucks the large-diameter disk 11b or a small-diameter disk with respect to the turntable 37 by a clamper 34. The disk playback apparatus is provided with: a disk conveyance mechanism which comes in contact with the large-diameter disk 11b or the small-diameter disk to carry in and away the large-diameter disk 11b or the small-diameter disk; and an end holding means 44 which holds an end side of carrying-in of the large diameter disk 11b when the large-diameter disk 11b has been carried in, and when the large-diameter disk 11b is carried in, moves with the carrying-in and releases the holding of the end side of the large-diameter disk 11b and retracts after alignment for chucking operation of the large diameter disk 11b to the turntable 37 by decent of the clamper 34 is completed.
