PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which detects the relative angle between an image projecting device and an image/sound signal processing device, selectively switches the sound output to a right channel loudspeaker or to a left channel loudspeaker, and switches the sound emission direction to a direction directed toward the audience, thereby providing best sound. SOLUTION: The image projector 1 incorporates an image projecting device 100 and a DVD reproducing device 200 which are movably unitized into a single body. The projector 1 includes a right-channel loudspeaker RSP and a left-channel loudspeaker LSP provided in the image projecting device 100; a rotary encoder 150 or a tilt sensor 400, which detects the relative angle between the image-projecting device 100 and the DVD reproducing device; and a loudspeaker drive device 500 which changes the sound emission directions of the right-channel loudspeaker RSP and left-channel loudspeaker LSP, based on the result of the detection.
