The process to check the tire (5) pressure includes the automatic initialization of the check unit (3) after a manual tire (5) pressure check by the primary tire pressure monitoring system and triggering of a warning signal after a predetermined time span indicating that another manual tire (5) pressure check is due. The primary tire pressure monitoring system must be based on the evaluation of dynamic tire state values especially the angular velocity.
