The telescopic handle for a folding umbrella has sliding sections with an inner tube (1) and an outer tube (2). Each section of the outer tube has a slide limiting waisted section at its lower end. The inner diameter of the slide limiting waisted section is larger than the outer diameter of the widened section (3) at the upper end of the adjacent tube section. The end waisted sections have metal reinforcing rings (4).
