<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk wherein satisfactory ROM capacity is secured, a RAM function capable of performing recording is added and reproduction compatibility with a single-sided two layer DVD is secured. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk 10, two ROM parts wherein information is recorded by phase pits 14 and 20 utilizing light reflectance are provided on one surface side of a substrate 12 across a space layer 18 and a recording layer 16 is formed at the ROM part e.g. on the substrate 12 side. The recording layer 16 is provided with a magneto-optical recording film capable of performing recording and reproduction using a laser beam 28 and is capable of simultaneously performing reproduction of the recording layer 16 and the phase pit 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
