<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device which steadily adjusts toner concentration inside developer stored in a developer storage part. <P>SOLUTION: The development device which includes a development roll which holds thereon developer composed of toner and a magnetic carrier and a housing which accommodates the development roll is provided with a layer thickness restricting member which restricts the layer thickness of the developer; a partition member which divides the interior of the housing into the developer storage part which is formed adjacent to the development roll and stores the developer, and a toner storage part which is formed with the developer storage part located between the development roll and the toner storage part itself and mainly stores the toner, wherein the partition member is located in the vicinity of both of the development roll and the layer thickness restricting member and forms a first opening between the development roll and the partition member itself, and a second opening between the layer thickness regulating member and the partition member itself, so that the developer obstructed by the layer thickness restricting member is made to pass through the second opening and is guided to the toner storage part; and a press-restricting member which restricts the pressing force of the toner in the storage part applied to the developer passing through the second opening toward the toner storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
