<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission for a hybrid vehicle capable of realizing the automatic gear shifting operation of a hybrid vehicle comprising a normally engaged-transmission with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission input shaft 11 and an transmission output shaft 12 provided with a plurality of driven gears 21b, 22b normally engaged with a plurality of driving gears 21a, 22a mounted on the transmission input shaft 11 to constitute a plurality of trains of speed change gears 21, 22, are assembled in a gear case 10. The gear shifting operation is performed by shifting and moving a switching sleeve 23b for selectively switching the trains of speed change gears 21, 22 respectively between a power transmitting state and a neutral state. The switching sleeve 23b is connected with a fork rod 66 through a shift fork 65.
