<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a temperature of a seal part at a desired value by using a cooling water jacket without changing a temperature and a flow rate of the cooling water. <P>SOLUTION: A pole piece 34 and a magnet 36 are mounted between a rotating shaft 30 and a housing 32, and the magnetic fluid is reserved in a gap between the pole piece 34 and the rotating shaft 30. The cooling water jacket 40 is mounted on an outer peripheral face of the housing 32, and a mounting position of the cooling water jacket 40 is changed in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 30.
