<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detach a pedal bracket 17 from a guide member 53 when an automobile is collided, and to reliably suppress movement of a pedal part 16 of a brake pedal 15 backward of an automobile body in a pedal supporting structure of the automobile to change the posture of the pedal bracket 17 so as to suppress backward movement of the pedal part 16 of the brake pedal 15 supported by the pedal bracket 17. <P>SOLUTION: A guide member 53 having a guide surface 57 inclined lower backward of the automobile body is fixed to an instrument panel member 9. Extension parts 29 and 29 with upper sides thereof opened are provided on both sides of the pedal bracket 17, and a pedal shaft 41 is provided between the extension parts 29 and 29. Mounting parts 73 and 73 are protruded upward of the pedal shaft 41, and a connection plate 81 having open parts 83 and 83 opened backwardly is mounted on an upper part 59 of a front end of the guide member 53.
