DATA PROTECTION METHOD IN DATA STORAGE SYSTEM, DATA STORAGE SYSTEM CONTROL METHOD, AND HARD DISK DRIVE UTILIZING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data protection method in a data storage system and a disk drive utilizing the same, which prevent internal information from leaking to the outside regardless of replacement of firmware in a data storage device. SOLUTION: The data protection method in the data storage system includes; a step (S305) of deciding whether or not a security enable mode is inputted from a host computer; a step (S306) of moving initialization data required for hard disk drive operation from a first area of a disk to a second randomly generated area in response to input of the security enable command; and a step of deleting initialization data from the first area of the disk in response to input of the security enable command.
