PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub mechanism for a vehicle enabling disassembly and assembly of a drum without increasing thickness and mass of a brake drum or disassembling the hub. SOLUTION: The hub mechanism for the vehicle has the brake drum 7 and a wheel 6 respectively mounted inside and outside a flange 11a of the hub 11 installed in an axle case 2 through a bearing 3 by a hub bolt 5. A hub flange 11a is formed into a petal shape 11b having a bolt hole 12, and a hole part 7b of the same shape corresponding to the petal shape part 11b is formed at a disk part 7a of the drum 7 so as to insert the petal shape part 11b therein. The drum can be detached while the hub or the like is installed in an axle pipe, brake inspection or replacement of a shoe can be performed, and a maintenance man-hour or an amount of use of an oil seal or the like can be reduced. The frequency of the inspection is increased by facilitating the inspection or the like, and the number of replacement of the shoe is reduced by making replacement timing of the shoe due to wear to safely approximate a using limit period of the shoe. The thickness of a mounting surface of the drum or the hub can also be reduced, thereby, weight of parts and cost are reduced, and load capacity of the vehicle is increased.
