PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which facilitates molding, opening and inserting in spite of an increase in the cover length of a cylindrical label to a bottle of PET etc., or in spite of the reduction in the thickness of the label. SOLUTION: The heat shrinkable cylindrical film for the label is provided with folds of any number of pieces selected from groups of 6 pieces, 8 pieces and 10 pieces in the longitudinal direction of the film. The film imparted with the folds is manufactured by using an expanding means and a plurality of nip rollers arranged horizontally diagonally respectively at different angles.
