PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which is electrically and mechanically engaged with two kinds of counterpart connectors having engagement parts with different dimensions, and prevents short-circuiting between the contact electrodes to which the counterpart connector is not connected from being caused. SOLUTION: Engagement parts 11, 12 which are individually engaged with two kinds of counterpart connectors having engagement parts with different dimensions are formed on both sides of a connector housing 1. A slide member 6 moving toward the other engagement part 12 side or 11 side by being pushed by the counterpart connector when the counterpart connector is connected to the engagement part 11 or 12 is provided in the connector housing 1, and the electrode part of the contact electrode 2 or 3 to which the counterpart connector is not connected is covered by the moved slide member 6.
