POLYAMIDE COMPOSITE MATERIAL, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE MADE WITH THE SAME

A material obtained by imparting impact resistance and heat resistance to a polyamide for use as an electric material without impairing the excellent electrical properties inherent in the polyamide. This material is free from drawbacks of conventional polyamide resin-based electrical materials. It is a polyamide composite material comprising (A) 100 parts by mass of a linear aliphatic polyamide having repeating units represented by the general formula -[CO-(CH2)n-NH]- (I) (wherein n is an even number of 2 or larger) or -[CO-(CH2)m-CONH-(CH2)k-NH]- (II) (wherein m and k each is an odd number of 1 or larger) and (B) 0.1 to 20 parts by mass of a cleaved swelling phyllosilicate evenly dispersed in the polyamide on a molecular level.
