The device (100) is for generating an air curtain (30), which preferably has three mutually parallel air flows (32,33,34), at least two (32,34) of which have differing conditioning features. A single air flow (131) is originated by a single air displacement device (120). This single air flow is split into part flows (132,134), after which these part flows are conditioned in different ways. One of the two part flows is heated whilst the other remains unaltered. The air curtain is generated between a heated room (3) and the outer air, whereby the single air flow is completely drawn from the heated room and the part flow (132) at the side of the heated room is heated.
