<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a polymer ion-exchange membrane that an ion-exchange capacity is small, and resistance to oxidation, dimensional stability and resistance to methanol are insufficient. <P>SOLUTION: A forming method for a polymer ion-exchange membrane which is excellent in resistance to oxidation, dimensional stability and resistance to methanol and also has a wide range with an ion-exchange capacity controlled therein by forming a nano-sized irradiation-damaged are by ion irradiation to a polymer film to be a base material, by grafting or co-grafting a functional monomer, and by introducing sulfonic acid groups into graft chains. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
