<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information equipment for allowing a user to perform his or her intended pointing operation while mounting a panel for protecting a screen. <P>SOLUTION: This information equipment is provided with a case body (170), a display part (110) arranged in the case body, a cover (120) for protecting the display part, a sensor (140) for detecting the deviation of the cover to the case body, and an information processing part for performing information processing corresponding to the detection result of the sensor.
