PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device in which a signal processing circuit block is separated from the display output processing circuit block and capable of performing smooth image reproduction without a sense of incongruity such as a boundary line even when storage capacity and throughput of a frame memory to be used by every circuit are restricted. SOLUTION: The image reproducing device is provided with an image decoding part 2 which outputs decoding completion information at the time of decoding completion of encoded image data, a frame memory 3, an image output part 4 which sets a reading starting address by input of the decoding completion information, outputs writing prohibition information with writing permission information, reads the decoded image data at the time of input of an image reproduction request and output the decoded image data based on vertical/horizontal synchronizing signals to be inputted, a graphic memory which stores graphic data, a display data output part 6 which outputs the vertical/horizontal synchronizing signal to an image output part, compounds the graphic data to the decoded image data by every frame to be inputted from the image output part and outputs the resultant data and a display part 7.
