PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security in a system in which an image forming device is used as a scanner. SOLUTION: An image forming device 2A includes an encryption key generation processor 11 for generating a paired secret key having a public key A and a secret key B. Image data acquired by a scanner 5 are encrypted by an encryption processor 13 using the public key A, and then stored in a storage 8. The secret key B is transmitted to a terminal 3A. The image data stored in the storage 8 are fetched by the terminal 3A, and decrypted by a decryption processor 22 in the terminal 3A using the secret key B transmitted from the image forming device 2A.
