PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the upper end part of the opening on the cylindrical wall of a hub in a tape cartridge from deforming inward by a force of tape winding. SOLUTION: A notch 24 having a stepped receiving surface 24a faced upward is formed in the surrounding state to the inner angle formed of the upper end surface and the inner circumferential side surface of the cylindrical wall 11a of the hub 11. Ultrasonic welding is carried out by engaging an annular reinforcement member 23 with this notch 24. The circumferential side surface 24b of the notch 24 connecting the upper end surface of the cylindrical wall 11a of the hub 11 and the receiving surface 24a is formed in a tapered state widening upward. The outer circumferential surface 23b of the reinforcement member 23 is also formed in a tapered state widening upward so that the surface 23b coincides with the peripheral side surface 24b of the notch 24. When the reinforcement member 23 is engaged with the notch 24, the outer circumferential surface 23b of the reinforcement member 23 is brought into contact with the circumferential side surface 24b of the notch 24, and the reinforcement member 23 effectively exhibits thrusting force.
