PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-accuracy positioning calculation, even when the number of observable positioning satellites is insufficient. SOLUTION: A positioning calculator 5 performs positioning of the position of a movable positioning terminal device 1, generates positioning quality information 31, positioning coordinate information 32, etc., and outputs them to a controller 11. If the positioning quality represented in the quality information 31 is a predetermined level or higher, the controller 11 causes a display 15 to display positional coordinates represented in the coordinate information 32, If the positioning quality is lower than the predetermined level, the controller 11 refers to an object database 12 and selects an object. A distance measurement calculation section 8 receives an object distance measuring signal from the selected object, and the positioning calculator 5 performs positioning of the position of the terminal device 1, based on the object distance measuring signal and a satellite distance measuring signal.
