<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact type IC card reader/writer not supplying excessive power to an IC card to suppress heat generation, and allowing increase of a communication distance. <P>SOLUTION: In this non-contact type IC card reader/writer 10, an electric wave signal is transmitted to the IC card 20 approaching a transmitting/receiving coil antenna 11 from the transmitting/receiving coil antenna 11 to perform data exchange with the IC card 20 and to supply power. The non-contact type IC card reader/writer 10 has a distance-detecting sensor part detecting and measuring a distance to the IC card 20, and an output control means increasing or reducing transmission output on the basis of detected distance information thereof, The distance-detecting sensor part is an infrared sensor 12 detecting the distance by use of infrared rays. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
