<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment where user interface and function expansion specialized in an application are realized as an application-only terminal of a camera and a game after call contract of a portable telephone set is canceled. <P>SOLUTION: A power source is started (step ST10), and a prescribed key is depressed (step ST12) after a system becomes a waiting state (step ST11). A lock number for security is inputted (step ST13). When it is authenticated, it is checked whether the system is in the middle of call contract with an entrepreneur or not (step ST14). When it is not in the middle of call contract, an application-only mode is selected. When it is in the middle of call contract, an application preference mode is selected.
