<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension for a vehicle providing improved comfortability in vehicle stop. <P>SOLUTION: A shock absorber comprises a control rod inserted into a piston rod, a driving means for rotating the control rod, and an oil flow channel that is formed in the control rod, a piston rod, and a piston mounted to the piston rod and communicates or blocks between the upper chamber and the lower chamber of a cylinder by rotation of the control rod by the driving means. The shock absorber has a vehicle speed sensor for detecting the vehicle speed, a brake switch for being turned on or off by an operation of a parking brake, a selector switch of the shock absorber, and a control unit for receiving signals from them. The control unit is configured so that, based on the detected signal of the vehicle speed sensor and operation signals of the brake switch and selector switch, the control rod is rotated by the driving means in an ON operation of both switches in a vehicle stop state to block the oil flow channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
