<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which enables a function to be selected in a normal display mode in a complicated functional setting and selected in a simple display mode in a simple functional setting, when the complicated functional setting and the simple functional setting are simultaneously made in the image forming apparatus and the like, selecting the function in the normal display mode in the case of making the complicated functional setting and selecting the function in the simple display mode in the case of making the simple functional setting alone, by performing alternative switching between two kinds of modes, that is, the normal display mode wherein all function selecting keys are arranged, and the simple display mode wherein only the frequently-used function selecting keys are arranged, in terms of a functional list screen. <P>SOLUTION: After the functional setting, even if the switching is performed from the normal display mode to the simple display mode and from the normal display mode to the simple display mode, the switching between the modes is performed for each function to be selected, because a state of the set function is maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
