<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase carry by making it possible to increase the initial speed of a ball after attaining the stabilization of the directivity of the hit ball. <P>SOLUTION: A thicker section 20 is formed along the face surface of a face section 13 in a manner to be connected in the toe-heel direction on the face section 13 side on the internal wall of the crown section 11 of a head body 10 made of a metal.
