PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste plastic treatment apparatus capable of enhancing heat efficiency at the time of heating and melting of a waste plastic. SOLUTION: In a heating cylinder 32 for heating and melting the solid waste plastic 22, heating plates 38 are arranged so that the mutual spaced-apart intervals between them are gradually narrowed from the upstream side in the feed direction of the waste plastic 22 to the downstream side in the feed direction of the waste plastic 22. A waste plastic melt 60, wherein the waste plastic 22 is brought to a molten state, is reduced in volume by the heat of the heating plates 38 during the passage through the gap between the heating plates 38 but, since the heating plates 38 are arranged as mentioned above, a gap is not produced between the heating plates 38 and the waste plastic melt 60.
