PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an armature which can accelerate the production speed of an armature conductor and which can improve an assembling speed in an armature core 3. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the armature includes a step of providing an outside armature conductor in which a first outside conductor 8a and a second outside conductor 8b are linearly provided, a step of inserting the first outside conductor 8a into a slot 3b of the armature core 3, and then a step of folding the second outside conductor 8b from the folding part to the end face of the armature core 3 and assembling in the armature core 3. The method thereafter includes a step of axially butting a projection part 8d provided at the second outside conductor 8b and a projection part 7d provided at the second inside conductor 7b assembled with the armature core 3 ahead of the outside armature conductor, and a step of connecting them by welding, etc. After all the connections are finished, an armature shaft 2 is inserted into a shaft hole 3a of the armature core 3.
