PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater provided with a function for automatically capturing an optional communication provider code and a base station ID in addition to a configuration for setting a particular communication provider code in a repeater. SOLUTION: This repeater 20 is provided with a receiver 23, a transmitter 25, an antenna 22, a setting memory 27 for storing setting information for scanning a control channel signal and setting information for identifying the communication provider, and a control part 29 having a capture control part 29a for capturing a base station ID included in the control channel signal. The control part 29 scans a control channel signal that the repeater can receive on the basis of the setting information of the setting memory 26, identifies the control channel signal of a particular 1 communication provider from control channel information to capture a base station or identifies the control channel signal of the optional communication provider to capture the base station on the basis of the setting of the setting memory 27, and registers the ID of the base station in a registration memory 28.
