PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener attaching method for improving quality by excellently attaching a fastener to a fastener attaching base material without generating fray. SOLUTION: The fastener 2 is attached to the fastener attaching base material 1 successively through a hot-melt resin sticking process K1 of sticking hot-melt resin 4 to which release paper 3 is attached on the back surface of the fastener attaching base material 1, a laser cutting process K2 of cutting out the fastener attaching base material 1 by a laser cutter so as to form a space to which a tooth line 7 and a slider 8 can be fitted in a state where a part overlapped with the part of the left and right tapes 6 of the fastener 2 is left, a press fitting process K3 of peeling off the release paper 3 from the back surface of the fastener attaching base material 1 and then press-fitting the part of the left and right tapes 6 to the back surface of the fastener attaching base material 1 in a heating state and a high frequency welding process K4 of integrally sticking the part of the left and right tapes 6 to the back surface of the fastener attaching base material 1 by high frequency welding.
