PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ascending and descending type housing body for increasing the ascending and descending range of the housing body and facilitating the take-out of housed articles. SOLUTION: The ascending and descending type housing body is provided with: a housing body 1; rails 2 arranged side by side on both outer sides of the side faces 1a of the housing body 1; slide parts 3 capable of sliding on the rails 2; and a plurality of links 4 and 5 whose respective one ends 4a, 5a are turnably attached to the side faces 1a of the housing body 1 and the other ends 4b, 5b are turnably attached to the slide parts 3. The links 4 and 5 are attached at an interval in a width direction W of the housing body 1 such that the turning surfaces of the links 4 and 5 are not aligned with each other.
