<p>A prosthetic foot (10) including a ground-engaging base (20) in the form of a generally planar and resiliently flexible foot bed (22) which extends between two or more platforms (24, 26, 58) to form one or more flexible hinges (28, 50, 52) therebetweeen. The platform include a toe platform (24) a mid-section platform (26) and a heel platform (58). A support shank (30) is disposed above the platforms so as to be generally positioned above an ankle area of the foot. A first spring (34) extends from the toe platform (24) to the support shank (30). A second spring (38, 40) extends from the support shank (30) to the mid-section platform (26). A third spring (46) extends from the support shank (30) to the heel platform (58). Typically, the springs are curvilinear springs.</p> |
