摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize proper image quality by suppressing an alignment defect and alignment unevenness caused by the structure of grooves between pixels, when the alignment of a vertical alignment liquid crystal is controlled by an oblique vapor deposition alignment film. <P>SOLUTION: A vertical vapor deposition film 43A is vapor deposited on the entire upper surface of reflection pixel electrodes 42 and the entire bottom surface of grooves between pixels and the oblique vapor deposition alignment film 43B is vapor deposited from the direction oblique to the substrate surface of a pixel electrode substrate 40 on the entire upper surface of the reflective pixel electrodes 42 and in a region of a part of the grooves 50 in between adjacent pixels via the vertical vapor deposition film 43A. The liquid crystal is aligned in the vertical direction by the vertical vapor deposition film 43A, in a region where the oblique vapor deposition alignment film 43B is not formed in the grooves between pixels.
