PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair and a carry-in/out apparatus for the wheelchair which smoothly perform the carry-in/out with respect to a vehicle. SOLUTION: Front wheels 50 with wheel holders 51 are disposed in front of the outside of a seat frame 20. The wheel holder 51 is turnably attached to the seat frame 20 via a shaft pin 53 and displaces the front wheel 50 between a wheel use position and a wheel retreat position to which the wheel is lifted forward from the wheel use position by the turning operation. On the other hand, the sides of a drive mechanism M and the wheelchair S is provided with cooperation mechanisms 150, and the front wheels 50 are lifted by cooperating with the operation of drawing the wheelchair in the vehicle.
