PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding method and a folding system making it possible to efficiently and accurately fold materials of the same lot as the materials folded by a first folding machine by other folding machines without trial folding. SOLUTION: A test piece 3 cut out from a materialαof a specific lot is trially folded by means of the first folding machine 1. Based on the data at the time of the trial folding, true material constants comprising an n-th power hardening index n, Young's modulus E, a plastic coefficient F of the materialαof the above specific lot are calculated. The same materials as the materialαof the above specific lot is highly efficiently and accurately folded by another folding machine, for example second folding machine 21, using the above calculated true material constants (n, E, F) without trially folding.
