PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolling equipment line advantageously compatible with manufacturing of a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet in which high temperature heating of a product, in particular a slab, is indispensable and realized by arranging an apparatus constitution so as to heat the slab uniformly in the widthwise direction of the slab in the hot rolling equipment line incorporating a vertical type electric heating furnace. SOLUTION: In the hot rolling equipment line in which a gas heating furnace 1, rough rolling machines 2 to 4 and continuous finish rolling machines 5 are sequentially connected through a roller table 6, at least one vertical type electric heating furnace is arranged at one side of the roller table or at least two vertical type electric heating furnaces 9, 10 are arranged at both side of the roller table.
