PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crystalline polyester for toner, yielding high productivity and superior environmental durability, and to provide the toner containing the same. SOLUTION: In the crystalline polyester for the toner and the toner containing the crystalline polyester, in which the content of the component having≤1,000 molecular weight is≤3 wt.%, and in which the ratio of softening point to the maximum peak temperature of heat of fusion (softening point/peak temperature) is 0.6-1.3.
