PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel selection apparatus wherein a wide AGC dynamic range can be taken without causing distortion to a signal, the channel selection apparatus including an antenna tuning circuit for receiving a high frequency signal from an antenna and tuning the signal and a gain control circuit for controlling a gain of an output of the antenna tuning circuit in response to a gain control signal. SOLUTION: The channel selection apparatus (1) including: the antenna tuning circuits (21, 41) for receiving the high frequency signal from the antenna (2) and applying tuning to the signal; and the first gain control circuits (22, 42) for controlling gains of outputs of the antenna tuning circuits (21, 41) in response to the gain control signal, is characterized by including a second gain control circuit (101) located between the antenna (2) and the antenna tuning circuits (21, 41) and for controlling the gain of the high frequency signal from the antenna (2) in response to the gain control signal.
